Oil of the Week 10.12.20 Clary Sage
Clary Sage (Salvia sclarea) is an exceptional oil that comes from primarily southern european countries but also Russia, and even the US. The superior quality comes from primarily France, England and Morocco. Clary sage is a top to middle note oil with a light herbaceous and nutty scent.
I paired clary sage with our card of the week, Archangel Michael, for the support needed to help us in times of emotional and physical exhaustion. This week has been a culmination of a lot of stress for me....I slept 12 hours uninterrupted last night! I get the feeling this is a common state of many lately....
Physically, clary sage is great for female conditions such as PMS symptoms, irregularities, menopausal symptoms, and even varicose veins! Every month when I have cramps, I apply 1 drop to each of my inner ankles for relief. For these reasons, clary sage should not be used in pregnancy. It also provides respiratory support, skin health for issues such as those associated with aging, acne, boils, etc. It is also great for muscle aches and pains!
Emotionally, clary sage can cause a sense of euphoria (who doesn't need a little of that!), and provide emotional balancing associated with tension, fatigue, and sadness. When inhaled directly, diffused, or applied topically it can elicit feelings of calm, confidence, GROUNDING, restoration and tranquility....can we say....ahhhhhhhhh :)
Energetically, clary sage is known to aid with providing prosperity and lucidity to our spirit and senses and support the positive flow of inspiration! It is said to strengthen our Qi by increasing its' circulation, particularly in areas it has been stuck.
I hope you give some clary sage a try and please comment below with questions or feedback.
Stay calm, stay sane, stay well!
