Peace & Calm
Peace & Calm is a lovely blend from Young Living. I don't usually showcase blends, as I like to make my own, but....... when you've got a good one there is no need to reinvent the wheel! How could I not talk about this blend when I read Jenny's card of the week and the need for peace?!? This blend in particular got me through the last week while my son was in the hospital and having surgery. I often can feel anxiety and stress bubbling up and my chest gets tight as my breathing increases and one sniff of this stuff is all I need.
Peace and calm is blend that contains ylang ylang, blue tansy, orange, tangerine, and patchouli essential oils. That is a powerful group to help you chill the $@#% out!! Not only does this smell great but it quiets the wildest of minds, emotions, and environments!
This blend can be diffused, inhaled (my favorite use), or applied topically by drop or via a roller. It is safe around kids and really helps them wind down just like us!
Since I usually cover the different effects of the oil each week I want to just throw out some quick facts about the oils in this blend.
We covered ylang ylang a few weeks back...think bye bye to sadness, anger, stress, etc and enter joy, peace and love!
Patchouli is a powerhouse to combat stress and anxiety but also helps us to feel grounded, thoughtful and supportive.
Tangerine smells amazing! Yesterday I mixed tangerine with grapefruit and lime......think Skittles....your welcome! Tangerine is very uplifting and can help us feel happy 😊
Orange smells great and is so versatile. Currently my favorite use is adding it with cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and ginger to create the fall smells and feels in my diffusers as well as all my Thieves cleaning products. Like the other citrus oils, orange also elicits feelings of happiness and just smells so dang good!
Blue tansy comes from the chamomile family and has a beautiful blue hue. It provides an uplifing aroma and is also well known for it's amazing benefits to our skin! It is a more rare essential oil, but SO worth the extra cost. Mine has lasted a long time as I seem to mostly inhale it to feel an instant relief to the chest tightness that accompanies my anxiety.
Have a good week and do try to find moments of peace, it is so needed. The more peaceful and calm our environment is, the better we are able to function within it!
