Oil of the Week: Hyssop

The oil of the week to support our Star Ancestor card is Hyssop. Hyssop (Hyssopus officinalis) is a perennial shrub with beautiful blue-purple towers of flowers! It is native to the Mediterranean region and Asia but now, can be found growing in the US, Europe, and Russia.

The reason for the pairing this week is hyssop's ability to help us connect to our spirituality or higher power and the encouragement to look up, look at that sky full of wonder, and check in with the divine.

Physically, hyssop can aid circulation and is known as a heart tonic. It supports respiratory congestion and coughs as well as having diuretic properties.

Emotionally, hyssop can help support stress related conditions and help relieve anxiety, nervous tension, and grief. In can also aid in fostering an increase in concentration and creativity.

As Jenny suggested, take a moment to get quiet, tune in, and listen to the guidance from above..and hyssop can help foster that connection.
